I have been gearing up my home as my husband will be coming home after his year long vacation at the Courtland Rehab Center in Ellsworth. I have had to change things around to accommodate his disabilities and adapt some things for him. Hopefully all will go smoothly for us in the coming weeks.

I have just about got most of my Christmas decorations taking care of from the Holidays. I work a month on decorating for this one day holiday and then it takes twice as long in taking them down.

The Narraguagus Snowmobile Club on Saturday January 9 had a great turnout for their first supper of the New Year. It was a great time to be out and meet up with friends that attend these suppers.

Ben Harper and Louise Kinney of Bass Harbor are always nice to see and chat with as well as Jack and Doreen Gray of Ellsworth, Pat & Cheryl Ward of East Machias, Bun & Brenda Ward of Columbia Falls, Nancy Willey and Ellen Tenan both of Cherryfield were just a few that were there.

These suppers help in keeping away cabin fever during the long winter. Thank goodness it is not like last winter with all of that snow we had.

Richard and Cheryl Paul of Addison have returned from their trip that they have been on. They had a wonderful time but are glad to be back home.

On Friday January 8, I drove the Narraguagus Knights to Woodland for their game against the Dragons. The Dragons beat our team

The Table of Plenty had a lovely meal on Sunday, the meatloaf was excellent and I was glad to have the chance to attend and socialize with the regular folks that are there.

Celebrating birthdays this month are: Thomas Worcester the 12, John Worcester and Arlo Worcester the 14, Sherry Paul the 16, Tiffany Strout, Ed Gosnell, Frances Stanwood and Lorna Greene the 18, Carole Hart the 19, Chris Gosnell the 22, Arleta Grant and Larry Shaw the 23 and Emily Grant the 24.
