Pearl Harbor Day is December 7. Let's fly the American flag to honor those who died in that attack.

The first day of Hanukkah is December 7. December's flower is the holly and her stone the turquoise.

December's full moon, Long Night Moon, is December 25, Christmas night.

Meet friends for beano at 6 p.m., December 10, at the VFW Post. Doors open at 4 p.m. and refreshments are available.

Trappers, Take Note The Central Maine Chapter of the Maine Trappers Association will hold a fur auction at 8 a.m. (doors will open at 7 a.m.), Sunday, December 13, at Goldcrest Riders Snowmobile Club, Cates Road, Dixmont. A warden will be on site to tag fur and the trapper must be present to register the fur. A 3% commission will be charged. Food will be available. For more information, call Ted Perkins at 947-5109.

Wildlife Notes Blue jays, mourning doves, chickadees, goldfinches, nuthatches, ravens, chipmunks, red squirrels and hairy woodpeckers have been visiting our feeding station.
