Pie Sale

The Faith United Methodist Church Women will hold a pie sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, November 24, at Shop and Save at Four Corners...just in time for Thanksgiving.

Beano

Enjoy an evening of beano with friends at 6 p.m., Thursday, November 19, at the VFW Post. Doors open at 4 p.m. and refreshments are available.

Doug and Darlene Dowling and Danny and Norma Robinson have returned home from Ft. Benning, Georgia where they attended the graduation of Cody Robinson from the base advance infantry school. Cody will now join the 19th Mountain Group of the Maine Army National Guard in Brewer. Cody is the son of Danny and Norma Robinson and the grandson of Doug and Darlene Dowling. Jane Armstrong is dong well at home after being a surgical patient at Island Hospital in Bar Harbor for a broken hip. Doug Dowling was one of several speakers in Prospect Harbor to grades K-8 relating his military service in Vietnam. Mike Miller is hospitalized at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital with pneumonia and congestive heart failure. Warm thoughts go out to him and Carla Fletcher.

Wildlife Notes

We had our first cardinal, a male, this past week and two deer who were joined by chickadees, mourning doves, goldfinches, nuthatches, hairy woodpeckers, chipmunks, red squirrels and ravens.
